SWOT Analysis of Gillette Company

Picture this. Your professor asks you to prepare a case study of the popular brand and identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. What he/she’s asking you is to perform a SWOT analysis of a popular brand. Now, if you are not quite adept at conducting this form of analysis, then here’s a quick guide on Gillete swot analysis along with a relevant example.
What is a SWOT analysis?
A SWOT diagram evaluates a brand by emphasising on each of the factors (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). It ideally comprises of four boxes, one for each factor, but the exact outcome may differ depending on the points covered.
SWOT diagrams can be particularly helpful when you are preparing case studies on specific brands by identifying their pros and cons as service providers. By clearly outlining all positives and negatives of a certain brand or business, SWOT analysis makes it easier to determine whether or not to move forward.
How to carry out a SWOT Analysis
·         Decide on the objective. Focus on a primary objective to evaluate and place it at the top of the page.
·         Create separate sections. Maintain a separate section each for all the four elements of the analysis
·         Label the sections. Write the word "Strengths" on top of one section, "Weaknesses" on top of another. The same way dedicate separate sections for "Opportunities" and "Threats". These titles are written at the top so that you can distinguish one from the other. You can check out various SWOT diagram templates available online to prepare the diagram quickly.
·         Include the strengths and weaknesses. Look for the factors that fit into these sections. Components of a SWOT analysis may be anecdotal, qualitative as well as quantitative or empirical in nature.
·         Draw pertinent conclusions. Evaluate the completed SWOT diagram. Be sure to specify if the positive outcomes outweigh the negative ones.
